We had a lovely day out with John today visiting some very nice wineries he picked out. Great communication on emails as were on a cruise ship at the time to arrange things and welcomed at the pier from the ferry from Auckland and into a nice comfortable van/ people mover. John was an excellent, cheerful, and patient driver for us (important with a group of people drinking wine all day), and he took us all over the island to some of our favorite old spots and some new favorites as well: Mudbrick, Tantalus/Alibi, Waiheke Distilling Co (not to be missed!), Man O’ War, and Bistro Allpress.
